Maintenance

Our aircraft had the greatest rate of availability, with the lowest amount of down-time of any air medical program in the entire nation in 1999.

Medflight maintenance is supported by Petroleum Helicopters Incorporated, who also own and operate our aircraft. The world leader in helicopter support and maintenance, P.H.I. is unsurpassed in providing world-class support with their highly trained mechanics as well as their state of the art parts supply system. P.H.I.'s rigorous and extensive inspection programs greatly exceed the requirements established by the Federal Aviation Administration. This allows P.H.I. to keep availability time high and down time to nearly non-existent while maintaining an astonishing safety record, as only a company with over 50 years of experience can do.
